You no doubt remember a typewritten communication received at your home in Barcelona and coming from our brothers resident in the country France. In it they promised to send informative documentation concerning our identity, documentation which we have refrained from sending for obvious reasons.

 

As you have been able to see from our paragraphs, we judge that spreading knowledge of our existence within the community of men of EARTH is counterproductive if certain levels of expansion of the information are reached.

 

It is not the information in itself that we try to avoid, when confined to social micro-networks or to isolated responsible men, but the sociocultural ferment, with unforeseeable harmful effects, which awareness, with the status of certainty, of the objective reality of our existence would provoke among you.

 

You must not, then, judge as a malevolent game of ours the deliberate restriction of objective proofs which, if they were provided by my brothers, would infringe the protective rule adopted by our community.

 

In this way we have fully achieved the postulated psychosocial equilibrium, whereby we are able to offer to an interested minority of your brothers of various nationalities of EARTH genuine information about our customs, the characteristics of the solid star UMMO, History, scientific and technological level and other data, at the same time succeeding in inducing the prudent dose of scepticism and caution which, on the other hand, sterilises the sensationalist potential contained in those revelations, which will then not spread to certain social circles. But you will be well aware that such an equilibrium can be dangerously damaged by you yourselves, as the IOGIOEMMII (free thinking beings) that you are, we being powerless to prevent it except by then introducing confusion-generating factors into the media, a solution not always viable for our INAYUYISAA (small isolated community).

 

You will remember that, almost synchronously with the receipt of our letter, the priest Enrique López Guerrero, usually resident in the town of Mairena del Alcor in Spain, spurred on by an understandable enthusiasm and aware of our existence through information channels offered by his brothers in Madrid, Barcelona and Paris, among whom you are included, could not repress his emotional wish to present his own conclusions to his brothers the press reporters.

 

The spread of the news exceeded the limits estimated by my brothers as tolerable. This is not a reproach to you, since we never communicated any prohibition to the said man, but you will admit our reactions of mistrust and self-defence, which crystallised in our conventional departure from Spain and in the suspension of contacts maintained until the situation has become clear.

 

But it is true that such an emergency proved very useful in the end, since it has shown that we greatly overestimated the risk of an exorbitant spread of the news.

 

Nevertheless we have stepped up our measures of prudence. We know that some of you installed electronic magnetic-tape recording equipment connected to the telephone network. We know that you have resorted to requesting the technical services of an important agency of confidential information and that, led by an understandable curiosity, you began marginal investigations to try to locate us. Even the forgivable imprudence of a collaborator of ours on EARTH served one of our correspondents to identify the hotel in a city in the South of Spain where we stayed for some time.

 

We do not reproach you for that activity, intimately linked to imperious human needs polarised towards legitimate aspirations, such as knowledge of objective reality, but we wish to justify from now on our inhibitions and reticence.

 

We therefore wish to add nothing to the recommendations made to you, Mr Antonio Ribera Jordá, in the letter from my brother SOODU 7 son of SOODU 4, but to endorse them once again.

 

Unless adverse circumstances combine to interrupt our mailings, we will send you selected data concerning our OOYAA (star with low surface temperature), astronomical position, characteristics, physiology of the UMMOEMMII, socio-economic structure of our social network and others.

 

We wish to express to you our most respectful devotion.
